1. What is Moodefy.io

Moodefy.io is an AI-powered music experience platform. It connects to your Spotify account and uses artificial intelligence to generate personalised playlists, roast your music taste, analyse your listening habits, check compatibility with friends, and reveal your music personality archetype.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country as required by Spotify).
• You must have a valid Spotify account to use the core features.
• By using this service you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3. Your Spotify account

• You grant Moodefy.io limited access to your Spotify data through Spotify's official OAuth system. We never see or store your Spotify password.
• You can revoke this access at any time from Spotify's connected apps page or by clicking "Disconnect" in the app.
• Your use of Spotify is also governed by Spotify's Terms of Service.

4. AI-generated content disclaimer

• AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not reflect reality.
• Roasts, archetypes, and compatibility scores are not professional psychological assessments. They are creative, humorous outputs generated for fun.
• Playlist recommendations may include songs that are unavailable, incorrect, or not to your taste.
• We make no guarantees about the quality, accuracy, or appropriateness of any AI-generated output.
• Do not make important personal, relationship, or financial decisions based on AI outputs from this service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to harass, bully, or harm others
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the service
• Abuse the service in a way that damages its availability for others (e.g. automated requests, spam)
• Misrepresent AI-generated content as fact or professional advice
• Use the service for any illegal purpose

6. Shareable content

• When you generate a shareable result (playlist, roast card, etc.) a public link is created. Anyone with that link can view the result.
• Shared results expire after 90 days.
• You are responsible for any content you share publicly from this service.

7. Intellectual property

• The Moodefy.io name, logo, design, and code are owned by us.
• AI-generated outputs are provided for your personal use. You may share them on social media or messaging apps with attribution to moodefy.io.
• Song titles and artist names referenced in the app belong to their respective rights holders.

8. Service availability

• We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee 100% uptime.
• Features depend on third-party APIs (Spotify, Anthropic) which may be unavailable or change at any time.
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Moodefy.io and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
